Exceptional fine petit point table rug Technical features: cotton canvas and finely woven silk threads. Beautifully executed. Circa 1715, Spanish Flanders region annexed to France in 1713 Dimensions 167 x 116 cm Good condition. Double ivory-field table rug with original garlands of finely drawn polychrome flowers, adorned with a Spanish count's crown framing two crenellated feather-like foliage and a composition of stylized initial scrolls. Four polychrome vase and flower basket spandrels. Scrolled border.
