Circular mahogany pedestal table on three blackened wood legs with eagle heads. and finished with claws joined by a brace. Stamped by François-Ignace PAPST and old label "... ROUEN... CAEN". First third of the 19th century. H. 69 cm - Diam: 83 cm Accents and cracks in the veneer. François-Ignace Papst - Cabinetmaker from Germany. Mastered on September 3, 1785. He worked at cour Saint-Joseph in rue de Charonne, then in rue du Faubourg-Saint-Antoine. He supplied the Garde-Meuble de la Couronne.
