MANUSCRIBE. - Orationes diversae a rituali and Missale romano excerptae. Paris, 1932. Manuscript of 24 pages in folio, including the title and table, fawn calf, large right-hand lace in frame, cold stamped plates with a large decoration of foliage, gilded figure on the first plate, inside lace (Binding of the period). A collection of various prayers, each page written in gothic or cursive letters, in black or red ink, each prayer decorated with a large initial historiated in watercolour with gold highlights and sometimes a dead end. The manuscript begins with a large full-page watercolour painting representing Christ blessing in a decoration of interlacing and foliage in the style of the 16th century. The manuscript is signed Albert Laverdure, 1932. The binding is stamped with its gilt AL number on the first cover. Note one of the prayers: Solemn Consecration of the Diocese of Versailles to the Blessed Immaculate Virgin.
