FRENCH SCHOOL OF THE 19TH CENTURY 1 - Presumed portrait of General Lazare Hoche (1768 - 1797), in uniform with golden shoulder pads and buttons. Miniature round shape (Diam: 11.5 cm) Annotated right Guérin. Wooden frame and stucco highlights with palmette motif (21 x 21 cm). On the reverse side a handwritten label on the bottom left: Cabinet of the Emperor / Castle of St Cloud / General Hoche / n° 22 Inventory of 1816. 2 - Portrait of William - Mary - Anne, Count Brune (1762 - 1815), Marshal of the Empire, in the uniform of assistant captain to the generals in 1792. Miniature round shape (Diam: 11.5 cm). Annotated left Vincent. Wooden frame and stucco highlights with palmette motif (21 x 21 cm). On the reverse side a handwritten label on the bottom left: Cabinet of the Emperor / Castle of St Cloud / Le maréchal Brune / n° 23 inventory of 1816.
