Veneer and marquetry work table
of amaranth, birch, ebony, maple, and
of holly with polylobe box and full belt
with a dragonfly decoration on a background
of foliage. A flap-like, scalloped plate
a decor in marquetry of thought and discovering
a raw interior (missing the upholstery).
Tubular three-legged base made of a tubular tubular alloy with a decor of
bronze locusts with a patina on the upper part and
small turtles in the lower part (missing a
tortoise) on triangular inlaid spacers
of thoughts and small flattened spherical skates
(restorations).
Annotated plaque ?Muraire Toulon? on the reverse of the
the flap.
Height 74 cm - tray 39 x 33 cm
Exhibition: a model of this table was presented
at the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1878.
History: A model of this table is preserved.
