Silk Kachan (PERSE), late 19th century. Prayer rug Technical characteristics: Silk velvet on silk foundations. Density. Approx. 11000 knots per dm2. Remarkable fineness. An ivory mihrab, with accolades, welcomes the vision of the Garden of Eden, which is composed of two trees of life with intertwined branches as well as flowers and corollas blooming in polychromy. A magnificent floral vase, from which a delicate multicolored bouquet exhales, is enthroned amidst polychrome flowering shrubs. The vaults have triple sky, purple and old gold vegetalized accolades. Six old gold and marine counter-edges with garlands of flowers frame the main purple border with floral scrolls and corollas in majesty. Beautiful ensemble.
