Khndzoresk inscribed in Armenian (CAUCASE-ARMENIA), late 19t - Lot 28
Khndzoresk inscribed in Armenian (CAUCASE-ARMENIA), late 19th century. A jagged brick field houses five large hexagonal marine medallions, adorned with old gold hearts, with swastikas (symbol of eternity); framed by stylised representations of ivory and brick dragons. The linked star-shaped flowers symbolize the marital union. The medallions are interspersed with various entomological forms and multicoloured. An ivory border with oak leaves and polychrome chalices and another anthracite with star-shaped flowers form the frame. Bicoloured highlighting and Armenian script. (Wear and tear, restorations, as is) 310 x 112 cm Withdrawal of the lot from the furniture repository - Neuilly-sur-Marne
