Fine Kirman-Laver carpet (PERSEAN), late 19th century. Technical characteristics: Wool velvet on a cotton foundation. Remarkable fineness. Density. Approx. 8500/9000 knots per dm2. Colour highlights. An ivory floral rosette is placed on a polylobé diamond-shaped medallion with small multicoloured flowers. The two pendants are set against a coral background, framed by four large spandrels with delicate purple foliage and their excrescences. Two marine counter-borders frame the main one, all three with polychrome floral bouquets.
