GOBERT Stone (and workshop) (Fontainebleau, 1662 - Paris, 1744) Portrait in Venus of Françoise - Marie de bourbon known as the second Mademoiselle de Blois (1677 - 1749) She is represented sitting on her celestial chariot pulled by two doves, a pearl egret in her hair, her chest uncovered in a large blue dress tied at the waist with a golden belt, her shoulders covered with a large red drape. Oil on canvas Wooden frame and gilded stucco with flowers, blooms and foliage (accident) motif H.: 73 cm - W.: 59,4 cm François - Marie de Bourbon was the daughter of King Louis XIV and the Marquise de Montespan (1640 - 1707), as was her eldest daughter Louise - Françoise de Bourbon (1673 - 1743). Legitimate daughter of France in 1681 she became by her marriage in February 1692 to the Duke of Chartres, Philippe d'Orléans, Duchess of Orléans.
