LE BLANC (François). Historical treatise on the monnoyes of France, with their figures, from the beginning of the Monarchy to the present day. Paris, Jean Boudot, 1690. In-4, granite calf, spine decorated, edges speckled with red (contemporary binding). Original edition, illustrated with a frontispiece engraved by Ertinger, with a profile of Louis XIV in medallion, 3 vignettes at the top, 59 coin plates and numerous medal figures in the text. Important and researched treatise on the history of royal coinage. The copy belonged to an 18th century amateur who left comments and various corrections on several butterflies stuck in the inner margin. Small angular moulding f. h1, marginal slit repaired at f. Ee2. A split bit, small lacks in the caps, large wetness on the second flat.
