Cleopatra and Mark Antony, circa 1750 Folded fan, the sheet of skin lined with paper and painted with gouache, showing a wide view of a woman being led by an emperor wearing a laurel wreath and a red toga. Border of autumn fruits on the sides. Reverse: a couple of shepherds chatting under the eye of a shepherdess picking flowers. White mother-of-pearl frame very finely cut, carved, engraved and gilded in two tones of three groups of lovebirds and nymphs.
