The Orleans family, "Prison is still the land of France", 1890 Rare folded fan, double sheet of paper printed with the photographic portrait of Marie Dorothée of Austria, wife of the eldest son of the Count of Paris, Philippe d'Orléans (1869-1926), who returned to France despite the laws of exile. He was incarcerated in the Clairvaux prison in February 1890, then pardoned in May by President Sadi Carnot, and deported to the border. On the reverse, the arms of France among a seedling of fleur-de-lys. On the right, "Edited by Le Panache/ Revue Royaliste/illustrated/ 42 rue du Bac Paris". Stamped and gilded wood frame. Beliere. H.t.21,8 cm/ H.f.12,9 cm (wear, stains, restorations and missing parts).
