Beautiful French cello, made by Jean LAVEST in Montluçon, in 1930. N°171, with pen signature on the back, iron mark on the ribs and under the endpin, in copy of Antonio TESTORE and label "after my" Antonio TESTORE, 1730. One-piece back of very fine maple with tight waves slightly descending from left to right, 753 mm long.two-piece top of very fine spruce with tight and regular pores, 749 mm long.ribs and headstock of very fine flamed maple of the same log as the back.original copy headjoint, red oil varnish on cracked yellow background. Good condition, crack on the top from the bottom nut for 15 cm, With its case.
