Small violin-shaped wall-mounted cartel and its console made of brown tortoiseshell veneered wood, partly inlaid and counterparted with brass decorated with branches, foliage and fleurons, the dial with twenty-five enamelled pieces with black numerals signed Cles LE ROY A PARIS; the movement, not transformed, also signed Charles Le Roy A Paris, with hour and half-hour striking. Beautiful ornamentation of finely chased bronzes with Rocaille decoration and, at the top, of a girl holding a parrot. Louis XV period Total height : 93 cm - W. : 35 cm - D. : 18 cm (Accidents and missing veneer, restorations of use). Note : Charles LE ROY, clockmaker received Master in Paris in 1733, died in 1771. His son Etienne-Augustin, received Master in 1758, will continue the work of his father and will use his signature.
