Together 13 issues in one volume in-8, half marbled basane with small vellum corners, smooth spine, red title page, red speckled edges (Binding of the time). Very rare complete collection of this revolutionary journal concerning agriculture and agricultural progress. The periodical appeared in 13 issues, from April 15, 1793 to Germinal 15, Year II (April 15, 1794), that is to say during one year only. It is illustrated with a copper-engraved frontispiece by Halbou after Le Barbier, a fold-out plate showing fences, hedges and ditches, 4 intaglio vignettes illustrating field work, and a fold-out table for the new calendar of the second republican year. Among the various articles and observations it contains, the most interesting concern field work, potato cultivation, flax and hemp cultivation, fertilizers, artificial meadows, pruning of fruit trees and vines, beetroot, milk, wasps, rabies, merry-go-round and hand mills, the course of harvests, anthrax (epizootic disease), etc. Margin of one title leaf reinforced. Caption to folding table cut off. Title piece renewed. Hole and minor worm gallery affecting leaves in last few issues. Binding very rubbed.
