GIULIO NARDI A hammered 18K (750) yellow gold, ebony and brilliant-cut diamond Moor's head pendant, the headdress set with a green stone, the earrings set with brilliant-cut diamonds, the dress with calibrated diamonds and sapphires. Signed. Total estimated weight of diamonds: 1.40 cts. Height : approx. 5,4 cm. - Gross weight : 25,3 g. (Accidents to the face) Giulio Nardi, jeweller of Florentine origin, settled in 1920 in Venice, city which was one of the great commercial crossroads of Europe during the Middle Ages and Modern Times. The Moretto, an ebony-faced prince in a richly jeweled suit and turban, symbolizes the exchanges between East and West. It is the emblematic jewel of the house Nardi which was worn by famous ambassadors such as Elizabeth Taylor or Grace Kelly.
