MAUBOUSSIN PARIS 18K (750) yellow gold and platinum (for the diamond claws) half-set consisting of a pair of ear clips and a clip, with a basket weave design set with brilliant-cut diamonds and emeralds. Signed. Hallmark Vassort for the clip. * Circa 1970. With cases bearing the inscription MAUBOUSSIN 20 place Vendôme Paris La Croisette Cannes. Total estimated weight of diamonds : 0,80 ct Diameter of the clip : 32 mm. - Diameter of the ear clips : 20 mm. Gross weight : 43,80 g. VASSORT Created in 1955 by André Vassort, 34 rue Sainte Anne in Paris, the Vassort workshop quickly distinguished itself: Van Cleef & Arpels, Boucheron and Mauboussin, among others, used it for their own jewelry but also to fulfill special orders from prestigious clients, crowned heads and Hollywood legends. Vassort closed its doors in the early 1990s, but was recognized as one of the most important workshops in French jewelry in the mid-20th century.
