Mazade, Representative of the People on mission in the Departments of Moselle and Meurthe, and mottoes Liberté, Égalité, Unité, Indivisibilité de la République. Love of Laws and Humanity, red wax seal. Curious letter on the cockades... "of the Citizens misled undoubtedly by counter-revolutionaries and by malicious people allow themselves not only to appear in public, without national cockades but also to insult those which are decorated with it"... He decides that "the laws relative to the obligation of the Citizens of the two sexes to carry the national cockade will be carried out [...] the Citizens who would allow themselves insults and provocations against those which give the honorable example of their submission to the laws and their unshakeable attachment to the Republic will be continued and punished"...
