Insurrection de PRAIRIAL.2 P.S. by Accusateurs publics, 3 et 6 prairial III ( 22 et 25 mai 1795); 1 page in-4 each partly printed on the letterhead of the Tribunal criminel du Département de Paris, ink stamps of the Accusateur Public (repairs and ink stain). Orders to the Charpentier des travaux du Département de Paris to erect the scaffold for the execution of Jean Tinel, locksmith, condemned to death, "convinced of having put himself at the head of a gathering that took place against the National Convention and of having carried at the end of a pike the head of the people's representative Feraut [Féraud]"... The first document, of 3 prairial, is signed by the public prosecutor Faure. The second order, of the 6 prairial, is signed by the accuser Roullois. [On the 3rd of Prairial, the crowd had taken away Tinel during his transport to the scaffold; it was necessary a new order on the 6th for his execution]. Attached is a P.S. by Jean-Bertrand FÉRAUD, Paris March 9, 1793, to the administrators of the department of Loiret (1 p. in-fol. in part printed, on the letterhead of the National Convention), concerning the claim of citizen Jacques Pointeau, a winegrower in Izy "who is claiming against his mobiliary taxation"; plus 2 engravings depicting Féraud's assassination.
