Certificate of residence. Vincent, "chief of brigade of the engineer director of the fortifications of the Leeward Islands", certifies that "the cen La Marnière owner in St Domingue made his residence at the Port Républicain, isle St Domingue" in the month of pluviôse VII; "shortly after the arrival of agent Roume at the Cap Français, a friend of the cen La Marnière assured him that he had obtained the lifting of the sequestration put on the goods of the latter, who is peacefully enjoying them at this moment at the Port Républicain"... This is followed by the legalization of his signature by Forfait, and an additional declaration to state the first names of La Marnière: "Daniel François Phelippes de La Marnière"...
