Concerning a transaction, which will allow him to sell more easily two estates whose funds he needs. "I have received the Moniteur and the Souvenirs et Portraits. I will not go to the country and will stay in the city because of some brigands who show up and whose authorities will do justice promptly. [...] the conduct of some compensates me for those of my persecutors. I have reason to hope that peace will bring some improvement to my situation; by bringing general happiness, following the great conceptions of the one who governs"... - November 30. "My wife is in Les Aigalades, which I have put up for sale for two hundred thousand francs, even though this estate is worth three hundred thousand, but the misfortunes which have been pursuing me for so long are forcing me to make these new sacrifices.
