Marie-Adélaïde LENORMAND (1772-1843) famous clairvoyant, friend of Joséphine de Beauharnais. 9 L.A.S. (one signed "le bon génie"), and an autograph poem, 1819-1840, to various; 15 pages various sizes, addresses. To Madame Drouvillet (3), sending her money (April and June 1819) and wishing her a good year 1830. To M. d'Onyn de Chastre, burgomaster of the city of Louvain, sending her two memoirs, while she is imprisoned in Louvain (29 May 1821). To Charles dePougens (signed the good genius) about the printing of the first volume of her works (23 November 1825); to Jean-Baptiste Sirey, thanks to whom she has just won 3 trials (1 March 1829). To M. de Miel, submitting her last pamphlets (February 23, 1832): "armed with seven volumes 8°, with seven pamphlets, I present myself with confidence before my Censor. Read and judged. In the Memoirs of the Empress Joséphine, I have recalled the goodness, the beneficence, I have traced the history, and in the same way my astonishing predictions. Finally, by reading me, of a perfect incredulous, I will perhaps make a credulous. Too happy Sir, if it were so... A poem on "Rosalie" (Sept. 3, 1840).6 letters to her are enclosed: 4 from Charles dePougens (1824-1826) about his publications; a L.S. from Frederick Prince of Prussia (Düsseldorf July 3, 1826) thanking her for her work devoted to his aunt "the late Queen of Prussia"; Caroline Dowager Duchess of Looz-Corswarem (castle of Uccle Sept. 29, 1822, after her husband's death).
