He thanks him in the name of the judges, commissioner and clerk of the court of the 4th district for the present "of a stone of about three feet in length and two in width coming from the demolition of the Bastille and on which are engraved the portraits of the King, the minister of justice and various inscriptions. No more flattering homage could be paid to the Tribunal than that which was inspired by patriotism"...
