Jean DUSAULX (1728-1799) scholar and politician, Conventional (Paris). L.A.S., February 3, 1792, to the Mayor of Paris Jérôme Pétion; 2 pages and a half in-4, address. Storming of the Bastille. "The brave man who will present this letter to you, was one of the first to be riddled with gunshots at the siege of the Bastille, from where he was taken away without knowledge by the care of M. Santerre, commander of the faux-bourg St Antoine. Dusaulx made a petition in his name, which several deputies promised to grant... "In the meantime, the unfortunate de Bourg dit Valois is dying of hunger and, covered with wounds that are still bleeding, does not know where to lay his head. I believe therefore [...] that it is your justice as well as your humanity to provide him with the temporary help he needs without delay"...
