Jacques Coquille, called DUGOMMIER (1736-1794) general, deputy of Guadeloupe to the National Assembly and of Martinique to the Convention, he led the siege of Toulon and was killed in the Pyrenees. L.A.S. "Dugommier general en chef," Perpignan 14 pluviôse II (February 2, 1794), to Fourn; 1 page in-4 (engraved portrait attached). "I can, my dear Fourn, only tell you one word at the moment.
