Malassis; in-8, 8 pp., headband). This rare print comes from the papers of HOCHE, whose stamp is Gal en chef de l'armée de l'Ouest, and was thus annotated by his biographer ROUSSELIN : " Récit perfide de la 1ère pacification fait par les Royalistes ". Account of the solemn signature of the pacification of La Jaunaye and of the entry in Nantes ofCHARETTE at the sides of the representatives of the people and the generals of the Army of the West, on February 26, 1795. "The pacification is signed between the mother country and her children. Yesterday, 8 Ventôse, General Charette recognized himself as a Republican: the leaders of his army cherished and followed his example. This happy day was preceded by several conferences necessary to the complete conciliation of the spirits; they took place in the moor of Beautour [...] the Representatives of the people and the Chiefs of the Vendée worked at an agreement so desired"... etc. The story is followed by the couplets To the reunited French, sung at the end of the meal. Another copy of the same song is attached (Nantes, imp. de Bruun aîné).
