Avril, General of Brigade, vignette. He announces to him the sending of his service records, as well as the "honorable certificate" given by the general Canclaux, which return "testimony of my zeal and my exactitude to fulfill my duties". He hopes that the Committee of Public Safety will keep its confidence in him and he wishes his change of army: "I want to leave the army commanded by General Hoche who is warned against me". It is a request that he has already made "to your colleague Gillet, member of the Committee of Public Safety, who knows me. [...] no matter in which army I am placed, I will always be fine, but if it were possible to make me go to the army of the Western Pyrenees, of which I know part of the country that it occupies, that would please me"...
