Walnut panel carved in high relief, polychromed and gilded, representing the Evangelist Saint Luke. Under an arcade decorated with leafy volutes, the saint is seated writing on the Gospel with a stylus, the bull lying at his feet. Castile, Valladolid, second half of the 16th century. Height: 48,2 cm - Width: 20,7 cm Label of collection with coat of arms on the back Count R. Coustant d'Yanville. Provenance : former collection of Count R. Coustant d'Yanville (Sale Paris, Hôtel Drouot, Mes Chevallier et Bivort, 27 and 18 February 1907, lot 154) (slight damage to the polychromy and gilding, small missing left hand)
