History: At the end of the Second World War, the Ministry of Reconstruction and Urban Planning commissioned the Ateliers Jean Prouvé to design a low-cost house that could be reproduced in series to create social housing. Although the project did not come to fruition, fourteen houses were finally installed on the Route des Gardes in Meudon (Hauts-de-Seine) between 1949 and 1953, including ten "Métropole" type houses and four "Coque" type houses. These two partitions come from one of them.
