Lazare CARNOT (1753-1823) mathematician and politician; Conventional (Pas-de-Calais), member of the Comité de Salut public, organizer of the Victory of the Armies of the Republic. 2 L.S. co-signed by Claude-Antoine PRIEUR (from the Côte d'or), 23 frimaire II and 18 ventôse II (13 December 1793 and 8 March 1794); 1 page in-fol. each with vignette and letterhead of the Comité de Salut public, address to the 2nd. 23 frimaire, to Perrier, contractor of the forerie à émouler les canons: "The Committee authorizes you to ask the administration of the cannons at the cydevant Feuillants [...] for a grinder from whom you can take all the information that will be necessary for the grinding enterprise of which you are in charge"... - 18 ventôse, to the national agents of the Poudres et salpêtres, concerning Souret and his conduct; "the intention of the Committee is that the attendants of the agency be named according to the mode that has been followed until now"... Attached is a L.S. as a member of the Executive Directory, 10 pluviôse V (29 January 1797), to citizen Dessaubaz, concerning the retirement of her husband, due to his age and deafness (1 p. in-4).
