Michel de CUBIÈRES, known as Dorat-Cubières or Cubières-Palmézeaux (1752-1820) poet and playwright, he was Chaumette's assistant secretary at the Commune. 2 L.A.S. and 2 autograph MANUSCRITS, 1799-1808 and s.d. 3 prairial VII (22 May 1799), "to Citizen Mercier in Europe" [Louis-Sébastien MERCIER] (1 page in-4, headed Municipal Administration of the IInd Arrondissement, small vignette, address.He congratulates him for his Address to the French on the assassination of the plenipotentiaries of Rastadt: "Lesmanes de nos ambassadeurs si lachement massacrés en tressailleront dans leurs tombeaux... He signs "Cubieres". 10 fructidor (VI : 27 August 1798). Autograph manuscript, Speech for the feast of the Old Age (1 page and a half in-fol.). Beautiful speech, full of references to Antiquity, praising the wisdom of the ancients and concluding: "Men of all ages, be virtuous if you want one day to deserve the honors that a free people gives to virtue". June 27, 1808, to Louis de FONTANES, Grand Master of the University (1 p. in-4, address). He recommends him, as "Madame de Beauharnais my very old friend" has already done, his private secretary M. MELAN; he signs "Cubieres-Palmézeaux". Autograph poem signed " Cubières ", To the bees (1 page and a half in-12, 24 verses) : " Bees, want you to know / Where we pick roses "... A P.S. " Dorat-Cubieres ", in the Maison Commune 22 pluviose II (February 10, 1794; 1 p. in-fol. partly printed, headed Commune de Paris) is joined.Certificate of residence for the citizen Louis Le Houx dit Damayé, Section de la Montagne.
