Louis-Augustin-Guillaume BOSC (1759-1828) naturalist, friend of Mme Roland. Autograph manuscript signed. Report of what happened at the general meeting of subscribers for the establishment of economic soups, 15 frimaire X (6 December 1801); 1 page and a half in-4. Soup kitchens. Bosc praises the advantages of "this useful establishment. [...] The strictest economy, based on the healthiest physics, guides these operations" that it is advisable to increase. The central committee hopes "to be able to distribute 600,000 rations in the course of this winter instead of the 164,000 that it distributed last winter. For this purpose, it already has in its hands 56,000ll provided by the first authority of the Republic and by the increase, already announced, of the subscribers. Without counting the 12,000ll placed as capital in the Mont de Piété and which will only be touched in case of absolute necessity."
