First edition of this ironic refutation of Linguet's Théorie des lois civiles. The latter retorted with Théorie du libelle, ou l'art de calomnier avec fruit (of which the original edition is attached: Amsterdam, 1775, in-12, contemporary fawn calf), which prompted a new reply from Morellet (see Quérard, VI, 309).
