JOURNAL DU PEUPLE FRANÇAIS. Public notice. [Paris], De l'Éco - Lot 174
JOURNAL DU PEUPLE FRANÇAIS. Public notice. [Paris], De l'École typographique des femmes, s.d. [1794]. Folio leaflet. Placard announcing the creation in 1794 of the Journal du peuple français by citizens Brondex and Deltufo. It is planned that the newspaper will be printed, like this placard, by the hands of the fair sex on Deltufo's presses, where women learn the art of typography. The Public Notice also states that it will be aimed at respectable rural citizens who have not acquired a taste for trivia, and that each issue will be divided into six sections dealing with religious issues, moral and civic education, agriculture, economics, rural policing, etc., among other topics. Mottling on the edge of the poster; a few minor repairs, mainly at the center fold.
