Very rare Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen by Robespierre, presented to the Société des Amis de la liberté et de l'égalité, seante à l'assemblée des Jacobins, on April 21, 1789.
Robespierre's Declaration contains XXXVII articles, compared with only XVII in the official 1789 version that has gone down in history: in his version, Robespierre stressed the need to reduce social inequalities (Article XII), asserted a right to work (Article XII), and even proposed a right to insurrection (Article XXVII).
Robespierre's Declaration was never implemented.
