A rare judicial memoir by Maximilien Robespierre, testifying to his work as a lawyer before the French Revolution. This factum is part of a set of 12 printed memoirs that Hervé Leuwers has been able to identify: [...] sources are lacking. Robespierre, like most of his colleagues, left few documents revealing his practice at the bar. [...] One category of his judicial writings is, however, exceptionally well preserved.
