DUPLESSIS-BERTAUX (Jean). Recueil de cent sujets de divers genres. Paris, C. Thierry, 1846. In-8 oblong, fawn morocco half-basin, smooth spine decorated (Binding of the period). Collection of 100 etchings by Duplessis-Bertaux, including a portrait, a title-frontispiece and various suites concerning workers, military costumes, street trades, Paris cries, theater, games and acrobats, or beggars. Some plates are before the letter. Armorial bookplate with motto Plus penser que dire, belonging to Henri Joliet, bibliophile from Dijon. Some foxing, trace of folding on the title, small split without missing on the edge of an engraving, small ink stain on a date numeral on the title. Binding rubbed, slight tear at tail.
