First edition of this pamphlet by Jules Ferry (1832-1893), which denounces the urbanization policy of the city of Paris under the Second Empire, marked by the gigantic works of Baron Haussmann, which led to an increase in rents, the emigration of the working class to the outskirts and the indebtedness of the capital to the tune of over a billion francs.
