The Orléans family, "La prison c'est encore la terre de France", 1890
Rare folded fan, double sheet in printed paper of the photographic portrait of Marie Dorothée d'Autriche, wife of the eldest son of the Count of Paris, Philippe d'Orléans (1869-1926), who returned to France despite the exile laws. He was incarcerated in Clairvaux prison in February 1890, then pardoned in May by President Sadi Carnot, and escorted back to France.
On the reverse, the coat of arms of France amid a fleur-de-lis design. On the right, "Edité par Le Panache/ Revue royaliste/ illustrée/ 42 rue du Bac Paris".
