Military medal, second type Second Empire. With diploma issued to Sieur Duval, maréchal des logis chef à la Compagnie de Gendarmerie du Finistère on March 12, 1866. Obverse: within a laurel wreath, a blue enamel circle with the exergue "LOUIS NAPOLÉON" and the profile of Emperor Napoleon III. Reverse: the motto "VALEUR ET DISCIPLINE" ("VALOR AND DISCIPLINE"). Medal surmounted by an uncrowned, gilded imperial eagle topped by a suspension ring, yellow ribbon framed by a green border. Framed : 36 x 46 cm
