Steel pocket watch, white enameled dial (cracks and chips), Roman numeral hour markers, second hand at 6 o'clock, mechanical winding movement, smooth case, the back engraved with the Lion of Judah (symbol of Ethiopian royalty*), formerly guilloché.
Dial and movement signed. Case numbered "CEI".
Dial probably signed in Ethiopian alphasyllabic.

* The Lion of Judah appeared on the flag of Ethiopia from 1897 to 1975, the symbol of Menelik II (August 17, 1844 - December 12, 1913).
