Fine and antique Senneh (Persia) late 19th century circa 1880. 187 x 131 cm Wool velvet with cotton foundation. Herati design on a cream field adorned with a central hexagonal medallion. Four spandrels echo the central medallion. Ruby border with finely drawn interlacing floral bulbs. Beautiful polychromy.
