CHINA - 19th century Three polychrome enameled porcelain pedestal bowls in the famille rose style, one with a dragon in flight chasing a flamed pearl, one with peonies and dragon and the third with 'shou' (longevity) characters and dragons among lotus foliage. (chips, cracks, restorations) H. 8.9 to 14.8 cm Provenance: Collection of Doctor Maurice Fournials. Appointed in 1923 to the French occupation corps in China, he later became in Peking the guard physician at the French legation, then assistant physician to the President of the Chinese Republic.
