Anonymous manuscript denouncing with satirical verve all the great men of the Court.
It opens with three philippic odes by La Grange-Chancel. There is a horrible song, L'Âme d'un Jésuite descendant aux Enfers (The Soul of a Jesuit Descending into Hell); this is followed by Les Avocats démasqués (Lawyers Unmasked), curious Applications de différents endroits de tragédies et de comédie (Applications of Different Places in Tragedies and Comedies to Different People) (the King, Cardinal de Fleury, Cardinal Bissy, Cardinal de Rohan, Paris parish priests, the Jesuits, etc.), the Brevet de la Calvet de la Cour (The Patent of the Calvary), and a number of other works.), the Brevet de la Calotte for the Parlement d'Aix, a copy of Voltaire's La Calomnie, des Héros du Rhin by Moncrif, a pièce A Mademoiselle de Guise sur son mariage avec le duc de Richelieu, an Extrait du discours prononcé le jour de Pasques par le prédicateur dans la cathédrale de Paris en son sermon 1727, a list of the various fictitious and burlesque addresses of various Court figures, Rapsodies gauloisesor a list of 35 books printed in 1735 by various authors (ex: Les Sentimens de Judas, en baisant son Maistre lorsqu'il le trahissoit par les Secrétaires d'État; various plays: L'Anti-mondin, etc.).
The manuscript ends with an excerpt from a tablet found on the way from Gros Bois to Bourges, giving the product of the Queen of Spain, foreign princes, farmers-general, directors of the Compagnie des Indes, etc.
