MAZARINADES.
Paris, Gervais Alliot and Jacques Langlois, 1649. Together 2 works in 2 volumes in-4, contemporary soft vellum, title in later ink on spine (contemporary binding). First edition of the Journal. The Journal du Parlement gives a history of the Parlement de Paris from April 16, 1648 to January 1653; in this respect, it belongs to the mazarinades; but it also reproduces the debates of the Parlement and the rulings handed down. It thus appears as the first official publication devoted to parliamentary debates (Sgard, n°724).
