Collection of 150 portraits, of the royal family, and of famous people of the time, Cagliostro, Comtesse de La Motte, Franklin, Washington, deputies, generals of the Republic, Vendean chiefs, some from life (Charlotte Corday, Fouquier-Tinville), each portrait accompanied by a short biography.
Complete with 3 frontispieces and 29 plates of costumes and a table of paper money, often missing.
The fourth volume is missing. Some foxing, accident to a headpiece.
