First official text organizing the teaching and administration of the new École centrale des travaux publics, future École polytechnique, published by decree of 6 frimaire an III (26 novembre 1794). [...] the first charter of the École polytechnique. Its traces have now almost entirely disappeared. The text printed by the Comité de Salut Public is extremely rare [...]. Alphonse Aulard, who knew of its existence, was never able to find it, and consequently did not include it in his Recueil des Actes du Comité de Salut public (Janis Langin, "Sur la première organisation de l'École polytechnique... "inRevue d'histoire des sciences, XXXIII, n°4, 1980, pp. 289-313).
