Posthumous first edition of Mirabeau's four main essays on instruction and teaching, edited by Cabanis (Buisson, Dictionnaire des pédagogies, p.1324). François Lanthenas, Girondin, doctor, deputy, saved by Marat after accusations from the Paris sections, is elected to the Committee of Public Instruction. He is the translator of Thomas Payne's writings. A pleasant copy, very well bound.
