Interesting work to serve the Schools of the Republic, distributed by the Convention to the authorities in the number of 2000 copies (Grand-Carteret, n°1176). It gives instructions for each season on the care and cultivation of fruit trees, vegetable plants, flowers, ornamental trees and shrubs, poultry and barnyard animals, etc. It also contains details on how to maintain and care for the garden. There are also details on hunting, fishing and cooking. Allegorical frontispiece engraved on copper by Halbou after Le Barbier, and curious almanac printed on 12 pages. Pleasant copy in waiting boards. On the title page, this handwritten note: One can see in this book how far the folly of men in France in 1792 went. Black ink stain on bottom corner of last 40 pages. Boards a little rubbed.
