Press copy, with a mailing to René-Louis Doyon, bookseller and founder of La Connaissance, his first publisher. Malraux began working for Doyon in 1919, and in 1920 saw his first texts published in the magazine La Connaissance, founded by Doyon.
Malraux granted him a scholarship when Doyon was destitute. It goes without saying that this faithful souvenir is sincere.
